Research Clusters
Humvee in the ICE Project
NMSU is one of the first universities in the country to adopt the concept of “Research Clusters” to enhance its value to the state and the nation. In the past year, with wide participation from across campus, NMSU has established five Research Clusters to take advantage of strategic opportunities that build on institutional strengths and respond to local, regional, and national needs. These Clusters encompass interdisciplinary work involving the university’s six colleges and independent research units, including the Water Resources Research Institute and the Physical Science Laboratory.
