Shimadzu GC-ECD

Gas chromatography with an electron capture detector (GC-ECD) is highly sensitive for detecting halogenated compounds, making it ideal for pesticide and herbicide residue analysis. Its sensitivity allows for trace-level detection of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in soil, water, and crops. It is commonly employed to monitor chlorinated pesticides and other agrochemicals with long environmental persistence (Shimadzu application note GC-2201). Our ECD is equipped with a liquid injection autosampler, allowing for liquid samples to be analyzed in sequence without direct supervision.
