Shimadzu Preparatory SFC System
The preparative supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) system, equipped with a PDA detector, is designed for the purification and separation of natural products, lipids, and bioactive compounds. This system provides an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional solvent-based extraction methods by utilizing supercritical CO₂. It is widely applied in nutraceutical development, the study of pharmaceuticals (Kingston et al. Sep. Sci. & Tech. 2021), and the isolation of secondary metabolites in plants (Ganzera and Zwerger Trends in Anal. Chem. 2021).
