NMSU Chemical Analysis & Instrumentation Laboratory (CAIL)

 To become a user of the CAIL facility, please send an email request to Dr. Robert Young (rbyoung@nmsu.edu).

You will receive an invitation to the MICS schedule through LabArchives Scheduler:

• Do NOT use SSO/single sign on
• LabArchives scheduler is compatible with mobile devices.

1) Required fields:

Institution/Company

User name

Faculty/PI name

Index number

2) Reservations require a Check-in/Check-out via LabArchives Scheduler. You must check in within 15 minutes of your scheduled start time, or your reservation will be released. There will be a QR code at each instrument. You can use the QR code to access the schedule for that instrument, make a new reservation and to navigate to your check-in/check-out for your current reservation.

3) You must check out via LabArchives Scheduler when you are finished. If you do not check out, you will be billed for the duration of your scheduled reservation.

4) Billing will begin at the scheduled start time.

5) Reservations can be modified/deleted up to 1 hour prior to start time. If you do not delete/release your reservation prior to 1 hour in advance of the scheduled start time and you do not show up for your reservation, you will be billed for 50% of the scheduled usage.

6) The minimum reservation duration is 30 minutes.

7) New reservations must be made at least 2 hours prior to start time.
