High-Resolution, High Intensity X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD)

The multi-user high-resolution, high-intensity x-ray diffractometer (XRD) laboratory, located in Gardiner Hall, is part of the Research Cores Program. The XRD Lab Project funded by a grant from the U. S. Department of Defense Research and Education Program through the Army Research Office.

PANalytical Empyrean X-Ray Diffractometer

The Empyrean multipurpose diffractometer is an X-ray platform for the analysis of powders, thin films, nanomaterials and solid objects.  The Empyrean uses PIXcel technology, able to be used as a point, line and area detector.
